Annika McDade is a triple certified, Vancouver based Professional Dog Trainer. She has been training since 2008 after she completed a Calgary based apprenticeship program at Dogma Training Academy (DCBC) specializing in positive reinforcement training.
Her passion for working with animals was evident at the young age of 9 years old when she started a dog walking company in her neighbourhood. As an adult she began volunteering with local rescue organizations and eventually joined forces with the Calgary Humane Society, where she gained invaluable experience and knowledge in the non-profit sector.
Annika achieved her second certification through the Karen Pryor Academy (KPA-CTP) and began teaching group classes in Calgary. She achieved her third certification with the Council for Professional Dog Trainers (CPDT-KA), the only internationally recognized certification in early 2015!
New to Vancouver, she hopes to develop a strong educational presence and partner with local rescue organizations/trainers to encourage the presence of positive reinforcement training. Annika joins us as a strong member of the canine community and we hope to utilize her experience and training to further support our clients and their canine companions.

Sarah trains dogs using positive, reward-based methods. She graduated with honors from The Academy for Dog Trainers, a program widely considered the Harvard of dog training schools. She is also a member of The Pet Professional Guild, an organization for dog trainers who use only force-free methods, and of The Canadian Association of Professional Pet Dog Trainers.
Sarah is a member of the Board of Directors for West Coast Cocker Rescue, which takes in Cocker Spaniels from high-volume shelters in British Columbia and Los Angeles. As a dog trainer there, she has demonstrated a unique ability to transform troubled dogs into adoptable family pets, and regularly fosters dogs at home.
As a board member of Families for Children, an orphanage in Southern India, Sarah has regularly travelled to Coimbatore since 1982, and serves as the nonprofit’s Volunteer Coordinator. She has a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Guelph, and worked as a Registered Nurse in the Emergency Department of St. Paul’s Hospital for many years.
A Montreal native, Sarah moved to Vancouver in 1985, and now lives part-time on Galiano Island. She and her husband are the proud parents of two ten-year-old rescue dogs – a Saint Bernard mix and a Whippet cross – who are living proof of the joy animals bring to our lives.
