Kanae Takizawa is the newest Japanese dog groomer to hit Vancouver with her specialized training from an elite school in Japan.  She has been grooming throughout Japan and Australia for the past 4 years and she is now working exclusively at the Pet Shop Boys.  She specializes in hand scissoring and fashion cuts with exceptional attention to detail. Within her first year of grooming Kanae won several awards in Poodle grooming competitions.  Her passion for animals and fashion shines through her exceptional grooming results.  In addition to classic grooms, Kanae transforms even the scruffiest dogs into works of art with personalized fashion cuts and colorful dyes.  Her gentle touch and quick hands produce exceptional results for even high stress dogs.  At The Pet Shop Boys, Kanae uses a variety of organic shampoos, deodorizers, and perfumes for all skin and fur types.  From pawdicures and highlights to a classic, clean groom, Kanae’s innovative yet practical approach to grooming far surpasses expectations.
